Leading commercial property developer, Stoford has launched a new 667,000 sq ft UK parts distribution centre at Ellesmere Port.

More than 50 commercial property agents were invited to tour the new state-of-the-art logistics development at West Road, Hooton Park Airfield.

The event was headed by Stoford Joint Managing Director, Dan Gallagher and Director, Angus Huntley, and featured a World Cup Rugby themed lunch with special guest speaker, Steve Thompson MBE, the former England world cup winning hooker.

The new building has been pre-let to Peugeot, a subsidiary of the global automaker Stellantis Group and is the biggest single cross-docked warehouse to be developed in the North West this year.

Stoford is targeting the highest level of building sustainability certification for the new development, including BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and an EPC ‘A’ rating. It is expected to reach practical completion by the end of 2023.

Dan Gallagher said: “We are very pleased to launch Stellantis’ new purpose-built distribution building. The event has provided an ideal opportunity to showcase the building to agents in the North West, who were impressed by the sheer scale of the development and its green credentials. We look forward to completing work later this year.”

As part of the launch, Stoford also promoted the availability of nearby development land. Hooton Park, Wirral, lies opposite the new Stellantis Group distribution centre and offers 115 acres of land with the capability to deliver up to 1.6m sq ft of new accommodation.

An additional parcel of land adjacent to Stellantis Group consists of c.52.6 acres and will deliver up to c.1m sq ft allocated for B2 and B8 use.
