Planning consent has been granted for the new £30 million headquarters of Task Consumer Products in Wolverhampton, which could create up to 50 new jobs.
Leading commercial property developer, Stoford, has been given approval to deliver c.210,000 sq ft of industrial/distribution accommodation on an 18-acre site at Citygate Park, Stafford Road in Wolverhampton.
It will see the expansion of Task’s operations within a single location, creating purpose-built warehousing and distribution space to support existing and expanded lines of production.
The site currently comprises two large warehouses, one occupied by Task, and the other formerly occupied by Fablink.
Stoford has already commenced demolition of the vacant unit which will pave the way for an 83,500 sq ft extension to Task’s existing premises and the construction of a new c.125,000 sq ft development on the same site. Both units will target BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
Task is one of the UK’s largest independent paper converters and specialises in the manufacture and distribution of market-leading soft tissue products including toilet tissue, kitchen towels and hand towels. It employs more than 120 full-time staff.
