Stoford has been recognised as one of the fastest growing companies in the UK.

The leading commercial property developer has been named in The Fast Growth 50 for the Midlands and East of England, an annual index of the top 50 fastest-growing companies in six regions.

This year's index for the Midlands and East of England has highlighted businesses from multiple sectors. Together they generated a turnover of £3.2 billion in 2022 at an average growth rate of 202%, creating more than 5,000 jobs between them.

The achievement underlines Stoford’s significant impact on the regional economy and its capacity for growth and innovation.

Formed in 1996, Stoford has delivered more than 2.6m sq ft of new accommodation nationwide this year, including several office and industrial/logistics developments currently under construction. Notable schemes include Icon Manchester Airport, Worcester Six Business Park, Spa Park, Exeter Logistics Park and Redditch Gateway.

Privately owned, the award-winning firm is based in refurbished premises in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, where it employs more than 20 staff specialising in office, manufacturing and warehouse development.

Dan Gallagher, Joint Managing Director of Stoford, said: “We are incredibly proud of Stoford’s continued growth and success. We have a proud record of delivering industry-leading schemes for many of the UK’s biggest companies, forging relationships with national and international funds, joint venture partners, local authorities and landowners.

“Everything we do is underpinned by a team of outstanding and highly experienced professionals. They ensure we continue to deliver a seamless process throughout the entire lifecycle of every development scheme we deliver.”

Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, Founder Fast Growth 50, said: “The UK Fast Growth 50 Index demonstrates that a small number of fast growth firms such as Stoford make a substantial contribution to the UK’s economic landscape, providing real examples of how innovation, enterprise and sheer hard work can make a real difference in all sectors from construction to financial services to technology.

“Their incredible growth during difficult times shows that through generating wealth and jobs in their local communities, entrepreneurship is the cornerstone of regional and national prosperity. Most important of all, their success stories demonstrate the impact of ambition and adaptability, providing a blueprint for sustainable growth that will hopefully inspire others to follow a similar journey.”
