Stoford has successfully delivered a major £30 million redevelopment at Citygate Park in Wolverhampton for Task Consumer Products.

The project expands Task’s operations across an 18-acre site on Stafford Road, providing c.210,000 sq ft of new and enhanced accommodation to support production and future growth.

The completed development features an 83,500 sq ft extension to Task’s existing premises, alongside a new c.125,000 sq ft purpose-built unit. The new unit has been awarded BREEAM Excellent.

Benniman was main contractor for the multi-phased programme, which involved extensive remediation of the brownfield site and the demolition of a vacant building to make way for the new unit.

Dan Gallagher, Joint Managing Director of Stoford, said: “This has been a significant development of a challenging site, parts of which were historically used for landfill.

“We’re delighted to have transformed it into a modern, sustainable headquarters for Task that will support its growth for years to come.”

Councillor Chris Burden, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Development, Jobs and Skills, added: “This expansion is providing better futures for local people by safeguarding jobs and creating new jobs.

“It demonstrates a huge commitment by Task to Wolverhampton and is characteristic of the innovation and growth taking place in our city.

“Furthermore, it brings disused brownfield land back into use – helping support our move towards a sustainable economy.”
