Stoford are proud to be headline sponsors of Staffordshire at UKREiiF 2025. Our sponsorship represents the partnership we have enjoyed with Staffordshire Local Authorities and the County Council that has represented some £300m of investment and has seen Stoford deliver 1.7 million sqft within the Staffordshire and i54 corridor area.
Our partnership is built on trust and shared goals – and through events like UKREiiF, we have developed political and officer relationships that enable Stoford and Staffordshire to drive forward an agenda for growth. The next few years will present challenges to Staffordshire, as like many other LPAs, they seek to progress Local Plans that will foster and facilitate growth, responding to the strength of the market, capitalise on the infrastructure serving Staffordshire – the M6, A50, A500, A34, whilst having one eye on the future of devolution and how that may change the plan making environment and the delivery of land. Through strong political and officer leadership, and with the benefits of this already evident within the two tier LPA system, Stoford are confident that Staffordshire will navigate the challenges that both planning and policy will continue to exert and in turn, respond to the market. The devolution agenda across Staffordshire also presents opportunities for new development; driving value of planning projects, through shared risks, and with the potential to align growth locations to the geographical strengths of Staffordshire, and be less restricted by District/Borough administrative boundaries.
As we move forwards with the NPPF’s renewed support for logistics, critical infrastructure and embracing technology, it will be interesting to see how AI, green technologies and wider sustainability objectives, will further shape the delivery of land for logistics and warehousing, and the skill sets of those future employees who will work at those locations.
Events such as UKREiiF provide developers with an opportunity for early engagement, to drive pace, secure interest at a local level and generate support for planning projects. It is also a showcase for LPAs to present their aspirations too and we look forward to discussing how Stoford can continue to support Staffordshire in the delivery of economic growth.
